The most lmportant thing about this hotel feeling like you are in your house and location of hotel is excellent. Nice bath

  • Group of friends

    Rooms are clean

Shouldn't be classified as a hotel, its a house with many rooms. There is no reception, every time you need to call the owner by phone. There is no lobby or area to set. Some rooms are in the underground floor!!! Rooms are very small.

  • Group of friends

We really liked the location - very close to shopping; gay district. Also loved the decor of the accomodation. They were able to accomodate our request for a late check out

They do not do a breakfast service - but there are many places close by

Its location is excellent in downtown Toronto and whilst the hotel provides no food options there are plenty of options for food within walking distance. In fact there is a pub next door! There is also a laundromat in the next block and a reasonably priced car park a few meters from the hotel. Your room also has a fridge. The decor could be described as quaint and beds are comfortable.Excellent WiFi

There is essentially no hotel staff. When we arrived we were greeted by a man who did not introduce himself who I informed we had a booking and I gave my name. The man then disappeared for a few minutes and came back and gave us our keys..that was the last we saw of any hotel staff! The bathroom was the smallest we have ever seen but it was clean. The beds had no under-sheet protectors and the sheets on the bed did not fit the bed which meant that in the morning you woke up sleeping on the mattress. The TV set up can only be described as unique, in that there were two controls one for turning on the TV and another control for cable TV, you had to move around the room to get either of these working and both worked from different positions in the room meaning that you could not simply turn on the TV and change channels while lying on the bed! There was no tourist information available at the hotel.

A very clean and friendly hotel. Very kind and helpful staff (Great Management )

I like its location neer shopping I like availability of free internet access and free coffee

It's not a hotel, it's just a very narrow house. No left, and the stairs are very narrow, no enough housekeepers, The room is very narrow, and daily cleaning is very poor, In general I cannot recommend it except for single students.

  • Group of friends
    8.8

Highly recommended: very good location, nice people at the reception ready to help (not always present, but always available by phone, for free from your room, and they came back so that I could leave my luggages in my room on the last day), very clean, comfy bed, own bathroom and toilets, own fridge, free wifi + ethernet cable, in a nice house (not a building)

No breakfast (but very nice brunches 5-10 min walk), small window in the room (a few rooms are in the lower floor, maybe you can ask for one on the upper floors when you book it, these ones have normal windows)

  • Couple

    Comfotable bed Relatively secure

There were no wardrobes in the room. However, staff was flexible and offered another room. That room, I have to say, had virtually no view - ie wall of neighboring house 2 m in front of window - and wardrobe was rather a rebuilt shelf. The style of the hotel was not really " boutique".

In the rooms at lower level you can hear the noise of subway trains, if you have sleeping problems you are gonna have trouble

  • Group of friends

Well located. The room was clean and ordered. Helpful staff.

Too much noises at night from subway and from near pub. The toilet doesn´t work. Be ready to use public toilets !!!

The Manager was really kind and friendly. The room was clean and ordered, furnished with taste and really complete all. The hotel is in front of the subway station and the look is beautiful.

very close to subway station and main streets in downtown

too much noises at night and the toliet doesnt work sometimes

Well located, good rate, friendly staff and comfortable, cozy rooms.

Great location - lovely restored old stone Victorian house, right across the street from the Wellesley subway station. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Walkable to most of central Toronto. Reasonably priced.

After check-in, during my 10-day stay, I saw not one other person. I had arranged the time to check-in and somebody met me and showed me my room and how to work the TV etc. After that, I sometimes heard footsteps or showers, but saw nobody. My room, a single, was very small and down in the basement so no natural light. I would not have wanted to spend much time there.
